Escape From Dilazmor Postponed/Monster Master

I've postponed Escape From Dilazmor after realizing that I can't do phyisics and I can't learn to use Box2D well on dial-up. (Although it looks like we may be getting faster internet soon. :))


In the meantime I've started working on Monster Master. I'm thinking that it's going to be sort of a mix between Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, and Pokemon. I'm currently working on making the terrain and the world, and it's coming along good. I have my "Zone Editor" working. You can see a screenshot of it here.

Well, Escape From Dilazmor's going good enough. I got an artist to help draw stuff. I've gotten some of the basic stuff done, working on more. You can see a demo here. :)


I also went to Camp Northland up in Wisconsin a few weeks ago. I had a great time and even won a free t-shirt for buying the button with "Blue Dust" written on the back. :)

AotR Up/Working on Next One

So, I've uploaded AotR to Kongregate, since I got kinda bored working on it and the game's kinda boring too. You can see it here.(The Kongreagate Statistics API still isn't working. :( )(Nevermind, it works. :D) I've now started on my next game: Escape From Dilazmor It's about a guy with no real background, who was thrown in jail by a corrupt government. Whether he did something for it or not doesn't matter, he wants out. Gameplay will be kinda like a sidescrolling fighting game, but you'll have some puzzle, and maybe some platforming. You'll also get better at the things you do more, and I think I'll have some side quests that you can do to change whether you're good or evil, which will influence and be influenced by some things. Such as being good may make some gaurds that are feeling guilty not kill you or being evil may make some of the worse "criminals" help you. Also, killing innocents makes you evil, protecting makes you better, blah, blah, so I'm hoping this one will be the one that doesn't stink. :P


btw, in RL, I'm doing driver's ed. I'm doing pretty well so far, but I'm only about 2/3 of the way through the saftey course. I can't do the behind-the-wheel this year because I'm going to camp for a week, and I can't miss that much.

I've got a demo out for Attack of the Randomness now. You can find it here. I know the sound has some problems and the store does as well, so don't tell me "I paused the game and the sound didn't stop and it's really annoying!", I know, but feel free to tell me about other bugs.

Hey, I have been programming some still, but I have school and such. I've pretty much dropped the alphabet game and learned AS3. I'm now working on "Attack of the Randomness!". I've already gotten achievements built in and I'll have a store when it's done. It might no be that great, but it'll be the best of my games so far. :)

Okay, so I've been kinda busy with school, church, the farm, and Travian, but I have been drawing some.

I drew a banner to support the us in the us/uk Travian Forum Banner Competition, but I can't show it to you for it's anonymity.(I think that that's the right word.)

I also drew a test for the 3d box tool in square meals...


Yeah, it's kinda big, but as you can see, you couldn't really fit words on the sides. So...I'll have to draw them by hand in wrong perspective. I can't really draw anything but a semi truck like this, so maybe I'll get someone else to draw it for me. <_<

Yeah, I haven't been posting much, but no one really reads this any way.:tongue:


I've been busy with school, and having trouble drawing objects in perspective. I've been tring to use Inkscape's 3d box tool, but it's really hard to manipulate.


I've also been on the Travian forums alot. I'm helping Pace found an alliance on us6. If you don't know of Travian, it's a really real time strategy massively multiplayer online game (RRTSMMOG:tongue:). If you want to sign up, ask me in a week or two, when I get my referral link.:tongue:

Well, Square Meals only has about a 2.7 on kong, so it didn't do great, and kong won't recognize the API in it, but I have good news: I got Inkscape to export .ai! :D The problem was that, even though I had installed ghostscript, I installed it on my second hard drive's Program Files which didn't have Windows referencing to it in PATH, so I followed these instructions, and now it works! :) I'm probably gonna finish The Alphabet Game now.

Well, it's Labor Day, so I didn't have school today. I would have posted earlier, but Firefox crashed and corrupted my bookmarks, so I couldn't add more or load my backup bookmarks, and webs.com's blog poster doesn't work right in Chrome. All day, I've been programming, carrying wood, watching TV, and reinstalling Firefox. I fixed the API in TV Hero(kong won't recognize it right still though:(), and finished Square Meals. I probably will get some more input from some friends before uploading it to Kongregate though.
